          Travel Documents

 

     It is important that travelers have the proper travel documents for their flight. These documents are required at different points, and it is preferable that travelers have them in hand.
 

  • Documentation for domestic flights

To fly within the country, the following documents are required:

 

  • Boarding pass.
  • Official picture identification.

  • Documentation for international flights

To fly internationally, the following documents are required:

 

  • Boarding pass.
  • Unexpired passport.
  • Destination country visa (depending on each country’s policies). To enter Mexico, a visa is required.
  • Migratory documents, depending on the quality of migrant.
The following documents are always considered official when they are not expired, have a clear picture and have not been altered.
  • Driver’s license.
  • Professional certificate.
  • Military service card.
  • Military ID.
  • IFE electoral credential.
  • For minors, or those 18 or younger, with domestic flights, it is recommended that these travelers use a school i.d., driver’s permission or some other document with a recent picture.

 

Important: Based on authorities’ faculties, as well as the contract of service between the passenger and the airline, travel documentation and identification requirements can change.

 

          Travel Time


     It is important that for trips to proceed as planned, travelers leave adequate time to complete the necessary activities to make their flight. The following are recommended estimated times for waiting at the airport. However, these may vary depending on the time of year, time of flight and even flight frequencies.
