International Airport General Rodolfo Sanchez Taboada or Mexicali International Airport (IATA: MXL, ICAO: MMML) is an airport located in the municipality of Mexicali, Baja California, near the border between the U.S. and Mexico. It is the northernmost airport in Mexico. Mexicali International Airport is located 20 kilometers east of the city. The current airport surface is 535 hectares; chas a runway 2,601 m long and 45 meters wide with an asphalt concrete surface. It has an operating capacity of 18 operations per hour.
For support in emergency situations, the airport has a building for the CREI (Body Rescue and Fire Fighting). There is also a machine room and visual aids, control tower, 3 hangars, and a plant for wastewater treatment, among others.
